So I got my account hacked 2nd time in the past 3 months. I found out that it was a hack on my NCsoft account which, my gw account was linked to it they also modded it and hacked that.

I just want some opinion from the community on the judgement of NCsoft's and Guild Wars support team's decision and response to my email.

I emailed them asking if there is a way for me to prevent a hack on my NCsoft account.

Their reply were:
"You will be notified if the hacker tries to reset your passwords without first changing your e-mail account. However if they do change your e-mail account, the only way you may find out about the compromise is if you can't log in, or receive a message that your account is blocked upon logging in."

My response:
"If a hacker goes in and changes your email(which is the smart thing to do), then I would not know anything and will not know anything about it until I try to go into my account and found my password has been changed. So there is no way of me preventing that hack."

And they repeated their reply few times before saying they are transferring my ticket to someone from the Guild Wars support team.

I asked for if there is a way to unbind my account from NCsoft account, knowing that if there is a way that my account was hacked 2x, then 3rd, 4th, more time will be possible. And all the Guild Wars support team answer were

"If you would like to send in your suggestions for such an option for on Guild Wars, I encourage you to consider posting your suggestions on the Guild Wars Wiki at: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedback:Main "

and I did not get a single reply on how to avoid being hacked from my NCsoft account, which effects my gw account password being changed and not receiving emails on the change.

I just want some opinion from the community on the judgement of NCsoft's and Guild Wars support team's decision and response to my email.

Well a mate since long got his account hacked a few days ago, lost 2-3 mill in stackables (points he me and a few guildies had collected together for his titles) and fow armor, BDS etc.

Today i went on didnt do much - but i noticed one (that i can recall) minipet was gone - Varesh - Ive deleted a few minis before and even gold ones (ded ofc) but i knew i kept all green ones - and there was a a few slots open in my collection (dedicated two pages in my invent for my ded pets). Anyway nothing important was lost but shows that you have to watch out.

Im starting to think with all the people gettin hacked, had their accounts looted on NCsoft side (!) that NCsoft might be draining accounts to sell virtual items to gold sellers/ebay whatnot for profit. Not far fetched i an old game. (one or two staffmembers maybe?, i would doubt it was done by the full company)

IAL just so you know I like that avatar.

I wouldn't be surprised people who are working with Arenanet are probably using their resources for personal gain.

But Cyber shouldn't you be getting a verification email letter stating that your email *has changed* to the original email address?
